THE BUZZ: Chloe is notable for many reasons: production was close to wrapping when Liam Neeson’s wife, Natasha Richardson, passed away; Atom Egoyan hasn’t flirted with potential mainstream success in over a decade; Amanda Seyfried needed to play an unsweeted character such as the titular Chloe. We hear the third act goes a little over the top (yay!) and that Julianne Moore owns the film, which is a remake of Coco Before Chanel writer-director Anne Fontaine’s 2003 effort, Nathalie….

i dig the reco – “learning from our failures.” i’ll have a couple things to share on that note, for sure. if nothing else, i’m a huge advocate of the case study format; the discussion that follows is invaluable, at least in most cases.

i’d be willing to speak on either web analytics (gathering BI from teh logz) or putting my entrepreneurship degree to use and talking about business plans, sizing markets, marketing strategies, etc.

Consider maybe like a festival model – if MIMA is the mainstage, we’re the up and coming bands stage. i don’t think we need to have a rigid agenda, but maybe some semblance of when specific topics might be discussed. I’m really looking forward to the smart discussions that will transpire, but I have to admit, i’d be lying if i didn’t say that I’m a little excited at the social experiment side of this.

On a related note, I wanna make a reco for the unsummit – i think the theme should be “learning from our failures,” or something like it. And while MIMA will have plenty of shiny success stories, we provide the real-world case studies of best intentions that didn’t deliver and why. In this, I think we offer something that distinguishes us from MIMA. Through shared suffering comes enlightenment – something like that, yeah?

and what about a call for speakers? Any thoughts on that?
